Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for evenings in Newport, KY. You will provide customer service, monitor access, conduct patrols, and report incidents to help keep clients safe.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (Wed and Thu evenings) and opportunities to grow with our training and tech tools. A high school diploma is required, with background checks and drug screening part of the process.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, trespassing, theft, and/or other policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic public-facing location, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control and badge processes, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. Use computer or tablet systems to document activities while embodying our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM; Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
