Job summary

Allied Universal in Jonestown, PA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Patrol Customer Support to protect clients across logistics and distribution sites. This role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to contribute to a trusted security team.

You will perform access control, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, monitor entrances, and deliver outstanding customer service using our tools and procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Minimum age: 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use communication and computer skills to assist employees, visitors, and operations while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people‑first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Familiarity with managing access control systems and issuing badges is essential for maintaining a secure environment.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using technology is crucial for monitoring systems and reporting incidents effectively.
• Customer Service Experience (B219): Strong customer service skills are vital for interacting with the public and ensuring a positive experience while maintaining security protocols.

• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the building exterior, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and trailer areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity through required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
