Qualifications

• EMT certification is required.

• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen conducted as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Communicate observations and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time EMT Patrol in Tanner, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Communicate observations, concerns, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts in accordance with post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an EMT certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This position primarily involves driving.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
