Allied Universal in Port Isabel, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to monitor a financial institution location and provide excellent customer service. You will deter security incidents, respond to alarms, and follow site procedures while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to learn new roles via our Claim a Shift platform. You will communicate with employees and visitors and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, management, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and controlled environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
