Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer—Driver Patrol Communications in Flat Rock, MI. You will provide security, monitor access, perform patrols, and assist customers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

This role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to earn through our Claim a Shift platform. The position requires a valid driver’s license, strong communication, and a customer-service oriented approach; CPR/First Aid certification and badge

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns calmly and report outcomes to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs per site procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and support a professional, customer-focused environment.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thu: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials, maintain required logs, and report access-related concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly, and support a professional, customer-focused environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
