Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Driver Patrol in New Albany, OH to protect clients across technology data centers with professional service, integrity, and teamwork. You will perform driving and on-foot patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond calmly to incidents.

This part-time role offers flexible day schedules, on-going training, and opportunities for advancement within a national security leader.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors while enforcing site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and report unusual activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, perimeter, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly, following emergency protocols and reporting accordingly.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications per site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a technology data center location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
