Responsibilities

• Provide site access-control, verify credentials, and assist visitors and personnel.
• Monitor access points and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate site contacts or responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Report access-control concerns, damaged barriers, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues per site procedures.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle access records, and direct individuals to appropriate areas of the freight location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report access-control concerns, damaged barriers, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
