Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Durham, NC. You will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service at an aerospace/defense location, while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires at least one year of security experience and an active DoD Secret clearance. CPR is preferred; minimum age 18 for unarmed postings. A background check and drug screen will be conducted as part of the application process.

Qualifications

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and reporting unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
