Allied Universal in Redlands, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for our Distribution Hub. You will monitor the facility, patrol areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The role offers a flexible schedule with day and night shifts. Successful candidates will meet minimum requirements, complete background checks, and comply with drug screening and licensing rules where applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while enforcing site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeters, and business areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries, documenting security observations.
• Complete reports and maintain activity logs for leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, or telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic in accordance with site‑specific requirements, documenting and reporting security‑related observations.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
