Job summary

Allied Universal is looking for a Security Officer (Part Time) at our LINTHICUM, MD distribution center to provide security services and customer support.

You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional service to employees, visitors, and deliveries. Schedule is Tue–Fri 4:00 AM–8:00 AM; pay rate $18.50 per hour. Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Background investigation as a condition of employment
• Background check in accordance with laws
• Drug screen as a condition of employment
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeters
• Monitor entry/exit activity for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with site contacts

• Tue: 04:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 04:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 04:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
