Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Montgomery, AL. This role offers reliable hours with fixed shifts and opportunities to earn more by picking up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service, enforce access-control procedures, monitor entrances, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while maintaining records and complying with site policies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to healthcare facilities, restricted areas, and designated entry points in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorization; issue visitor passes and maintain accurate access-related records as required.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Verification in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

$17.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
