Job summary

Allied Universal in Monroe, MI is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Credential Verification at a utilities location. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

This role offers a flexible schedule (Mon/Wed/Fri 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM) with opportunities to grow, access to exclusive shifts via our Claim a Shift platform, and a team that values safety, integrity, and community.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols at a utility services location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access logs.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, documenting observations, incidents, and required follow-up actions.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
