Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; HS diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting security concerns.
• Support protection of utility operations by following procedures for key, badge, gate, and vehicle access management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.


• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.


• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, or unusual activity.


• Support the protection of utility operations by following established procedures for key, badge, gate, and vehicle access management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
