Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted.

• As a condition of employment, a drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Document incidents and unusual conditions in accordance with site reporting procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Administration in Wilmington, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur12:00 AM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to parking facility patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points to parking areas, garages, offices, and restricted locations by verifying credentials, authorizations, and visitor access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, parking‑related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of parking facilities, pedestrian areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document incidents, visitor activity, access issues, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
