Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Brooklyn, NY. You will monitor assigned areas, patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

You will follow site procedures, assist with access control, and document activities through daily reports, contributing to a safe, collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the commercial real estate property, including building common areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and parking or loading areas as assigned.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
