Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, authorizations, credentials, and visitor documentation; issue temporary access credentials.
• Operate access control systems, maintain logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in West Finley, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, authorizations, credentials, and visitor documentation; issue temporary access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, business operations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
