Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a Biotech Facility in Philadelphia, PA. You will provide security services, monitor access, and deliver outstanding customer service in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare and research facility interiors, exteriors, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with protocols.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and document events.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift communications with professionalism.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM, Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare and research facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific protocols, helping to maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events according to established procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
