Job summary

Allied Universal, Kailua, HI, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Bag Screening) to monitor access, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain a professional presence at a food and beverage location.

You will deliver customer service, follow site procedures, and escalate incidents per policy while contributing to a secure environment. The posted schedule includes Mon, Tue, Sun 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors entering the location in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor entry points, observe for unauthorized items or unusual activity, and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entrances, loading areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
