Job summary

Allied Universal in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Part-time Security Officer to protect people and property and provide exceptional customer service. The role focuses on monitoring access, issuing badges, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents with professional conduct.

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect access badges, and maintain visitor/access records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas to identify unauthorized access and security concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and policy violations.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect access badges as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access-control issues, and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
