Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner while coordinating with hospital personnel and responders.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and screen individuals entering restricted areas per procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and comply with laws and Allied Universal policies.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and public responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, emergency department areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and screen individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting and reporting unusual activity, incidents, and policy violations.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
