Allied Universal in Salisbury, NC is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Armed Perimeter Patrol. You will provide customer service, deter incidents with armed patrols, and respond to security concerns across Retail/Malls and other locations.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat - 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sun - 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, stockrooms, receiving areas, parking lots, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, delivery areas, and restricted locations; verify authorization for individuals entering employee-only or controlled areas.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and complete required reports in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
