Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Armed Patrol Security Officer in Boca Raton, FL to protect residents and visitors while maintaining a friendly, secure environment. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professional communication and safety-focused actions.

This role requires at least 2 years in law enforcement or related field, an armed guard card or license, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.
• Industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential grounds, entry points, common areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access, verify visitor authorization, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and access-related documentation.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while following applicable laws, company procedures, and site-specific post orders.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
