Allied Universal in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Response to protect clients across Retail/Malls and more. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns in a retail environment.

As an armed patrol officer, you will provide excellent customer service, communicate professionally with staff and shoppers, and support a welcoming environment. A valid armed guard card/license and background check are required.

• Valid armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store interior, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate observations to site management and leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store interior, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate observations and incidents to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
