Allied Universal® seeks a Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol in Minneapolis, MN. You will conduct armed patrols of utilities and facilities, maintain a visible presence, and respond professionally to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and critical infrastructure, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document the entry and exit of authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and daily activity logs, documenting patrol findings, incidents, access-control activities, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
