Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile Patrol in Newark, DE. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff at a healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• At least one year of armed guard, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check required as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and following established protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare location.
• Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and policy violations accurately and communicate with site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile Patrol in Newark, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare location.
• Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and policy violations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security‑related experience.
• Possess at least one year of armed guard, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law."}31li>Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
