Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Armed Mobile Driver in Odessa, TX. This position offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $25.00 per hour. The role includes armed duties, security patrols, and customer service across multiple sites, with a path to full-time work up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least five years of armed security‑related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and report as required.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the site including sales areas and perimeters.
• Deter theft and policy violations through professional presence and timely reporting.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with laws and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Mobile Driver in Odessa, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Maintain awareness of suspicious activity and help to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations through a professional presence and timely reporting.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least five years of armed security‑related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
