Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for a Pennington, NJ location. You will deter security incidents, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with evening shifts and a pay rate of $21.10 per hour, with opportunities via our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• State/municipal license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and promptly.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. • Thur 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
