Qualifications

• Age requirement: 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check required by law and licensing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain access-related records.
• Screen and direct deliveries, vendors, and transportation personnel per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate security concerns per site procedure.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by verifying credentials, managing badge access, monitoring entry points, and supporting visitors and employees with professional service. You will use technology to document activity, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen and direct deliveries, vendors, and transportation personnel in accordance with receiving, shipping, and site access procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
