Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Access Verification in Pontiac, MI to safeguard clients across technology, media, and telecom locations. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, log visitors, and maintain a professional presence while supporting a flexible shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment in compliance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by performing site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain logs, and direct individuals according to site requirements.
• Operate access-control systems, issue/collect badges, and report access discrepancies or unauthorized attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly, following established emergency procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.68 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site requirements.
• Operate access‑control systems, issue and collect visitor badges or temporary credentials, and report access discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, common areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
