Allied Universal® in Irmo, SC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a healthcare rehabilitation setting. You will provide security services, assist patients, visitors, and staff, and help maintain a welcoming environment while following site procedures.

This role offers a flexible schedule—Sat and Sun overnight shifts—and a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. You’ll complete reports, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeter to identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, staff, and vendors.
• Complete accurate reports documenting incidents and activities per site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare rehabilitation setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM


• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare rehabilitation setting.


• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.


• Monitor access points and help maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, staff, and authorized vendors.


• Complete accurate reports and document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
