Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Access Control Operations in Kennesaw, GA. You will protect clients across logistics and distribution sites, manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain orderly, secure environments.

You will work a rotating part-time schedule with on-site duties and develop professionally through training, a visible impact on safety, and opportunities within our flexible shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a logistics location by following access control procedures.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and vehicle entry records.
• Control entry and exit to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
• Respond to access control incidents and alarms calmly and coordinate with site contacts or responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site requirements.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and freight-related traffic to help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas and support orderly operations.
• Respond to access control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
