Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver in Columbus, MS. This role provides fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts, helping you earn more while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain access-control records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations with calm, problem-solving approaches and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeters to identify hazards.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership and document daily activities and observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver in Columbus, MS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while documenting daily activities, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
