Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Control in Los Angeles, CA to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.60 per hour with fixed anchor shifts and the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program across multiple sites. This role supports part‑time employment, income stability, and potential progression toward a full schedule.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.60 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real-estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while communicating professionally with property staff and public service personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
