As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and screening visitors and personnel. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.05 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization and identification as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas, docks, yards, and facilities while reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and operational spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
