Job summary

Study Hotels is expanding to new markets and is currently seeking motivated Security professionals to join our team at our new hotel in Baltimore, The Study at Johns Hopkins.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years in a similar security role.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English; second language desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections on the premises to ensure everything is in order.
  • Check-in vendors and deliveries with escort in back areas of the hotel.
  • Monitor CCTV and work with Engineering to identify vulnerable spots.
  • Investigate incidents and coordinate with HR for team members.
  • Maintain and monitor lost and found processes.
  • Maintain key control and related audits.

Job description

Study Hotels is expanding to new markets and is currently seeking motivated Security professionals to join our team at our new hotel in Baltimore, The Study at Johns Hopkins.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspections on the premises to ensure everything is in order.
  • Check-in vendors and deliveries. Ensure vendors have the appropriate escort throughout the back areas of the hotel.
  • Responsible for monitoring the CCTVs. Work with Engineering to identify vulnerable spots of the CCTV.
  • Investigate accidents, thefts, and other safety concerns pertaining to guests and coordinate with Human Resources for team members.
  • Maintain and monitor lost and found processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for key maintenance, conduct departmental key control audits, and maintain key control records.
  • Maintain emergency safety procedures.
  • Prepare reports on all activity that takes place in the hotel.
  • Responsible for reporting incidents to the appropriate channels.
Fundamentals
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience: 5+ years in a similar role.
  • Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by business needs.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English required; a second language is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to positively communicate and interact with all hotel departments, external vendors, and guests.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Study Hotels is a drug free workplace. Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
