Job summary

Temple-Health is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to help safeguard patients, staff and visitors at 7600 Central Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. You will patrol, monitor access points, greet entrants and assist in enforcing visitation policies.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of security/public safety experience; a valid driver’s license is required, and Act 235 training is preferred. Shifts are Friday–Monday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in security/public safety is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Act 235 lethal weapons training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the hospital's patients, employees and visitors.
• Prevent/detect and report fire, theft, vandalism and/or illegal entry.
• Greets patients, visitors, and staff as they enter/exit the Hospital.
• Enforces hospital visitation policies as appropriate.
• Acts as a deterrent to those inappropriately attempting to enter hospital.
