Job summary

Marquette Senior Living is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will perform indoor and outdoor rounds, respond to alarms, monitor access, and assist with light maintenance as needed.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least one year of security experience, and strong communication with attention to detail. Training and background checks are part of the hiring process at this Indianapolis site.

Qualifications

Security Officer

Pay: $18.50–$22.50/hour

Schedule Requirements:

Every other weekend is required, and candidates must be available for five days of paid training!

1st shift- 7AM-3:30PM

2nd shift- 3PM-11:30PM

3rd shift- 11PM- 7:30AM

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff
• Conduct scheduled indoor and outdoor security rounds
• Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls
• Monitor employee and contractor presence
• Perform light maintenance tasks as needed
• Maintain security equipment and supplies
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A valid driver’s license is required, and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year of security experience is required
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and work well under pressure

Employment is also contingent upon successfully completing a background screening, drug screening, TB blood test, and physical exam.
