Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time role in Duluth, MN. The position offers a wage of $16.85 per hour and a Sunday and Monday night schedule from 11 PM to 7 AM (16 hours).

The role focuses on maintaining a secure environment, responding to emergencies, monitoring surveillance systems, and enforcing company policies. Strong communication, vigilance, and customer service are essential; prior security or military experience is a plus.

What Your Day May Look Like

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.

• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.

• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.

• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.

• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.

• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Above average computer / technology skills needed.

• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!

• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.

• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.

• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.

• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
