Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Bolingbrook, IL to monitor retail locations, deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers and staff.

You will patrol assigned areas, observe and report suspicious activity, assist with access control, and document daily activities following site procedures. Flexible day-time schedule, with pay rate $19.15 per hour, and opportunities to develop through training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and documentation of incidents and daily activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.
