Job summary

Allied Universal in Boise, ID is seeking a part-time Security Officer to protect clients across technology locations. You will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entries, and respond to incidents with professionalism and teamwork.

The schedule is set for DayTime: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM and includes opportunities to earn more through our Claim a Shift platform. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are desired.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow site policies and procedures.
• Willingness to obtain required licensing where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials in accordance with site procedures, escalating unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
