GardaWorld Security is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer in Charles City, IA. This full-time 3rd shift role offers a $17.25/hour wage, comprehensive benefits, and uniform provided at no cost.

You will monitor security systems, write reports, and respond to incidents to protect people and property. Qualifications include being 21+, authorized to work in the U.S., HS diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain IA state private security license (GardaWorld will assist).

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escape in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Site Location: Charles City, IA
• Set schedule: Full-time, Saturday through Sunday 3rd Shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, 3rd Shift 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., Friday, 3rd Shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises

Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent abilities to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be available to work holidays
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an IA state private security license (GardaWorld will pay for and help to obtain)
