Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Austin, TX for unarmed patrol driving. You will deliver customer service, deter security incidents, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to protect visitors and staff.

Responsibilities include routine vehicle and foot patrols, responding calmly to incidents, and communicating clearly with site personnel while upholding Allied Universal’s people-first culture and integrity.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Unarmed roles require at least 18 years of age; armed roles require 21+.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.

• Conduct regular preventive patrols of the retail property and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, storefront perimeters, and access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and customer inquiries while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
