Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol for a hotel/resort site in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on vigilance, guest safety, and a strong security presence during night hours.

You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, document observations, and coordinate with site leadership to keep guests and staff safe. A high school diploma and guard card/license are preferred. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel grounds, guest‑access areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting security‑related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
