Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Patrol to monitor and protect a chemical/petrochemical site, perform routine patrols, and provide professional customer service. You will verify access, report hazards, and support site operations with overnight shift schedules.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Report observed hazards, damaged barriers, unauthorized access attempts, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate emergency personnel.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support site operations through routine patrols, observation, and timely reporting while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
