Job summary

Allied Universal® in Research Triangle Park, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with driving duties to patrol and protect client sites including chemical and petrochemical locations. You will monitor access, respond to alarms, and provide professional service to visitors while ensuring safety and compliance.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access, and help to support restricted area control in accordance with location policies.
• Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and/or changing conditions that may impact daily operations.

What You’ll Do
