Job summary

Allied Universal in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol. You will monitor and protect clients across transportation facilities, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to advance within a leading security services provider. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you’ll conduct routine rounds, assist visitors, and communicate clearly with the team while upholding safety and customer service

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Backgrounds with criminal histories will be considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patrons, employees and contractors at a public parking location while following site procedures and security responsibilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parking facilities, pedestrian areas, entrances, exits and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor parking areas for unusual conditions, access issues, vehicle incidents and maintenance concerns, reporting observations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns calmly, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when required.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident and patrol reports and communicate relevant information to leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, patrons, employees, and/or contractors at a public parking transportation location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parking facilities, pedestrian areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor parking areas for unusual conditions, access issues, vehicle-related incidents, and/or maintenance concerns, reporting observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when required.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and/or patrol reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
