Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for an Overnight Access Control role in Goodyear, AZ. You will supervise entry points, verify badges, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors at a logistics and distribution site.

The position is Full Time with a nightly schedule, and the pay rate is $19.17 per hour. A background check and drug screen are required, with licensing by state as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor, driver, and delivery records.
• Control access to designated areas, issue and retrieve visitor badges and temporary credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials, and maintain accurate visitor, driver, and delivery records.
• Control access to designated areas, issue and retrieve visitor badges and temporary credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
