Job Overview
Ensure a safe environment for staff and guests, protect hotel assets, and deliver exceptional service. Respond promptly to requests and provide caring interactions. Perform essential functions related to security, safety, and operational support.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain safety and security for staff, guests, and visitors, safeguarding hotel assets.
- Follow all safety and emergency protocols.
- Monitor video surveillance to identify potential issues.
- Manage access control by issuing relays, key fobs, and keys.
- Handle lost & found procedures, documentation, and storage.
- Respond swiftly to emergency calls and alarms.
- Conduct security walkthroughs of the hotel interior and exterior.
- Administer First Aid when necessary.
- Document incidents, damages, accidents, and property issues, including CCTV footage.
- Process and secure incident reports and CCTV footage legally and confidentially.
- Monitor vendor access and entry.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including mail and package handling.
- Assist with guest issues like door lock problems and safes.
- Respond to security requests and guest complaints, ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain professionalism and appearance.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
- Complete shift handovers with relevant information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Security Director.
Qualifications
- Experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
- Proficiency in report writing.
- Ability to operate CCTV systems.
- Flexibility in work hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to operate electric hand trucks.
- Hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Surface Go 4, Windows, Mac, Vigilant CMS, QTrak, Relay Pro.
- Emergency management experience.
