GardaWorld Security is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer in Washington, D.C. to monitor CCTV, detect threats, and respond to alarms. The role requires flexibility to work across two sites and various shifts, with a focus on customer service and professional presence.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in security or related fields, a valid DC security license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and security systems. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass an extensive screening process.
• Security, military, and/or law enforcement experience of 2+ years preferred.
• Active DC security license required.
• 21+ years of age or older as required by law.
• Experience with Microsoft/Google apps and security systems; DAR/incident reporting experience.

Position Overview

• Role: Security Officer (Must be flexible to work across two sites)
• Sites: Theater Exhibit & Broadcast News Office Building
• Location: Washington, D.C
• Scheduling based on site needs. New hires must be flexible to take shifts at a short notice. Ideal candidate will have open availability to work, mornings, evenings, overnights and weekends.

Hiring Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle background check.
• Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hours while conducting patrols.
• Competitive hourly wage starting at $25.34/ Hr (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

• Maintain expert, up-to-date knowledge of all site-specific post orders, corporate policies, and security protocols through proactive and frequent operational reviews.

• Conduct active CCTV camera monitoring and remain fully prepared to execute precise, immediate protocols upon receiving any system alarms or security alerts.

• Execute strategic crowd control and monitoring measures during high-profile corporate events to ensure participant safety and orderly foot traffic.

• Maintain unwavering situational awareness and physical oversight of all facility entrances, exits, and perimeters while upholding strict uniform etiquette and a professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications of Surveillance Security Guard

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• You’re able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• You have Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of at least 2 years or more
• You have an active DC security license
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• Must have experience utilizing Microsoft applications or Google applications, and Security Systems. Must have experience with Incident/ DAR reports
