Job summary

General Security Services Corporation (GSSC) is seeking Security Officer - Special Operations for an on-call role in Minnesota. You will fill in for officers, assist with new account start-ups, train new personnel, and provide secure transport when necessary.

This position offers growth potential within a trusted security team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will gain broad knowledge of posts, work on high-profile assignments, and contribute to a safe environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• US citizen or authorized to work in the US.
• Must pass state & federal background checks and drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Complete GSSC Basic Training successfully.
• Meet licensing requirements as needed.
• Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities at client sites to protect property and personnel.
• Patrol assigned sites on foot or by vehicle, check for hazards and security violations.
• Enforce security regulations per Post Orders and Facility Security Plan.
• Assist with start-ups at new accounts and train new officers.
• Fill in for officers during vacations, call-offs, or shortages.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and incidents.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond as required.
• Generate clear written reports of shift activities.
• May transport individuals to treatment or facilities when needed.
• Maintain safe driving practices and vehicle upkeep.
